country&#8217;s first coal gasification-based nitrates complex<\/strong>, developed on an L-EPC basis for <strong>Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited<\/strong> (BCGCL) together with <strong>Larsen &amp; Toubro<\/strong>.<br \/>\nStrongly supported by the Government of India, this strategic initiative reflects a long-term vision to strengthen national energy security, enhance industrial resilience, and maximize the value of domestic coal resources.<\/p>\n<p>Leveraging decades of experience and<strong> more than 80 ammonia synthesis loop references worldwide<\/strong> up to 3&#8217;100 MTD, <strong>Casale<\/strong> will contribute its <strong>ammonia technology expertise<\/strong> and <strong>proprietary equipment<\/strong> for critical sections of the <strong>920 MTD ammonia synthesis loop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of the complex, the <strong>ammonia N-LOOP<\/strong> will provide the essential building block for downstream <strong>nitric acid and ammonium nitrate production<\/strong>, enabling <strong>efficient and reliable operation<\/strong> across the entire fertilizer value chain.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond its technical scope, the project represents an important milestone is India&#8217;s efforts to develop new coal gasification-based industrial value chains and strengthen long-term self-reliance in strategic chemical production.<\/p>\n<p>We are honoured to contribute to an initiative that combine <strong>technological innovation, resource valorisation,<\/strong> and <strong>national strategic importance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHAPTER 2: Building India&#8217;s First Coal-to-Ammonium Nitrate Complex &#8211; Following the Foundation Stone Ceremony<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following last weekend&#8217;s foundation stone laying ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India&#8217;s first commercial-scale coal gasification-based nitrates complex, Casale is proud to contribute to this landmark project developed on an L-EPC basis for <strong>Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited<\/strong> (BCGCL) together with <strong>Larsen &amp; Toubro<\/strong>.<br \/>\nStrongly supported by the Government of India, this strategic initiative reflects a long-term vision to strengthen national energy security, maximize the value of domestic coal resources, and develop new industrial value chains for the country.<br \/>\nComplementing the ammonia synthesis loop announced earlier this month, Casale&#8217;s technologies enable a <strong>fully integrated coal-to-ammonium nitrate value chain<\/strong>, from ammonia production through weak nitric acid (WNA), ammonium nitrate (AN), and HDAN.<\/p>\n<p>Leveraging more than 80 ammonia synthesis loop references worldwide up to 3\u2019100 MTD, Casale will provide its proprietary <strong>N-LOOP technology<\/strong> and equipment for the 920 MTD ammonia synthesis loop, supplying the essential building block for the downstream nitrates production chain.<\/p>\n<p>Leveraging more than 120 Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate plant references worldwide, Casale will provide its proprietary <strong>DualPURE<\/strong> and <strong>NitroCULTIVA<\/strong> technologies for a 1\u2019650 MTD WNA plant, a 2\u2019000 MTD AN plant, and a 400 MTD HDAN prilling unit, setting a new benchmark for nitrate production capacity in India and supporting the supply of strategic products for the country&#8217;s mining sector.<\/p>\n<p>Once completed, it will represent the largest ammonium nitrate complex in the country and is expected to meet nearly 35% of India&#8217;s projected ammonium nitrate demand by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond its technical scope, the project represents an important milestone in India&#8217;s efforts to build new industrial value chains, strengthen domestic production capabilities, and support strategic sectors such as mining and infrastructure.<br
