We are proud to announce the successful commissioning and start-up of the new 425 MTPD Ammonium Nitrate melt facility for Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd. (RCF) at their Trombay site in India. Executed on an LSTK basis by Larsen & Toubro (Energy Hydrocarbon Division), the plant has exceeded performance expectations, marking a major milestone for Casale and the Indian nitrates industry.
This project represents another successful implementation of Casale’s proprietary NitroPIPE technology in India, reinforcing the efficiency, reliability, and innovation of our advanced process solutions. The plant’s exceptional performance underscores the value of our technology in delivering superior results, ensuring high operational efficiency, and supporting sustainable production practices.
Casale provided the License, Process Design Package, Proprietary items, and review of key engineering documents, working closely with Larsen & Toubro as the main EPC contractor to ensure seamless execution and commissioning. In November 2024, the plant successfully passed the guarantee test run, confirming its performance in terms of production capacity, product quality, and environmental compliance.
This achievement further strengthens Casale’s growing presence in the Indian nitrates market and highlights the potential of NitroPIPE technology to revolutionize ammonium nitrate production across the region and globally.
