Casale is proud to announce the launch of a new project in partnership with Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group, a major player in China’s chemical industry. This initiative marks another key milestone in a relationship built on trust, innovation, and long-term collaboration.

The new melamine production plant will feature Casale’s uLEM-N technology, with a design capacity of 60,000 tons per year (TPY), and will be fully integrated into an urea plant operated by Anhui Haoyuan.

This is the third project developed together, following the successful implementation of two 1,500 MTD ammonia synthesis loop plants based on Casale’s N-LOOP™ technology. These repeated collaborations demonstrate the strength and continuity of our partnership — one that keeps evolving toward higher efficiency and lower environmental impact.

At the heart of this new plant is uLEM-N, Casale’s most advanced melamine process innovation, which introduces a significant shift in sustainable design by:

  • Eliminating caustic soda usage entirely thanks to the Ammonia-based purification
  • Featuring a highly efficient and proven high-pressure synthesis section
  • Using proven Urea-based off-gas scrubbing
  • Operating with a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) approach
  • Ensuring simplest integration with Urea plants
  • Reducing CAPEX and optimizing operations

Thanks to these features, uLEM-N sets a new benchmark in melamine production, reducing environmental impact while maximizing plant performance.

Casale is honored to continue supporting Anhui Haoyuan in their industrial development. This project reaffirms our joint commitment to a more sustainable, efficient, and future-ready chemical industry.
