Large Methanol converter revamping in Qatar

Casale announces the successful revamping of one of the largest methanol synthesis loops at  QAFAC, based in Mesaieed, Qatar.

This project involved the replacement of outdated quench internals in two very large methanol reactors with the state-of-the-art Casale IMC® gas-gas internals. IMC, or Isothermal Methanol Converter, ensures superior methanol conversion and very low pressure drops, setting new standards for efficiency.

With a staggering production capacity of 6000 metric tons per day (MTD), the plant has achieved new milestones in the industry.
