Casale granulation process incorporates the renown Green Granulation technology developed by Green Granulation Limited, which has been fully acquired by Casale in 2022.
This cutting-edge technology has seamlessly become an integral part of Casale’s comprehensive suite of integrated solutions for fertilizer production, spanning from raw feedstock to finished products.
HYPER-U is an improved self-stripping urea process which enhances efficiency by incorporating a Medium-High Pressure (MHP) carbamate decomposition step, leading to reduced steam and cooling water demand and lower operational costs.
The improved CO₂ stripping process features a high-pressure synthesis section followed by a low-pressure purification and carbamate recovery section. Optionally, for high capacity, a medium-pressure section is installed. The Split Flow Loop® is specifically designed to offer excellent performance at competitive cost.
The technology for industrial urea synthesis has gone through remarkable evolution since the first commercial installations of the second half of the 20th century.
Modern processes outperform all vintage designs in every aspect from energy consumption to environmental footprint. As urea synthesis is a severe process, which in the long time, wears out most of the critical equipment, after few decades of service more frequent and costly maintenance is required.
